We’ve been where you are—starting out, doubting ourselves, looking for that spark. Fitspo was born to prove that inspiration is the first rep toward change.
Back in the ‘80s
Back in the ’80s, I was your classic 98‑pound weakling—the computer club and chess club geek before it was cool. High school wasn’t my favorite time, to say the least. Bullies made sure of that, and I coped by retreating into myself. The idea of working out? Not even on my radar. It felt like too big of a mountain to climb, so I didn’t bother.
A Turning Point
Fast forward to my 40th birthday, when everything changed. A good friend—total gym rat—dragged me into the world of fitness. I was hesitant at first, but with his support and my stubborn determination, I got hooked. I overhauled my eating habits, labeling foods as “goal foods” or “not.” The results? Game changing. Now, I’ve traded the chessboard for the gym, and I’m in the best shape of my life.

What I Learned
What this journey taught me is that inspiration is everything. It’s the spark that ignites your drive and fuels your dedication. And inspiration looks different for everyone:
